LEGACYEP
ABENAA ↗Ghanaian-German musician ABENAA grew up between worlds. 2000s pop, hip-hop, the sounds of church music and Afro-diasporic rhythms, and decided early that the tension between them was not a problem to solve, but a sound to make.
Today, her music moves between rap and Afrobeats: raw, spiritual and undeniably her own. Rooted in Afro-diasporic identity and counterculture, she builds soundscapes that celebrate life while demanding change.
ABENAA is passionate about the representation of Black women in music, embodying the belief that these voices can be intelligent, expressive and powerfully sensual at once. Supported by the Pop Scholarship from Popbüro Stuttgart and Förderung Zukunftsmusik, she has performed in Germany and internationally, including Accra and Prague.
With a background in political science, she brings that same sharpness to everything she creates. And she is just getting started.

Afrobeats, fashion, visual culture and Black cultural production are transforming the global cultural landscape. African creativity is not a passing trend. It is a force shaping what comes next.
It is a wake-up call for decolonization, peace and collaboration: to challenge inherited perspectives, recognize creative power across the continent, and build a future shaped together.
